Welcome to SDSN Nigeria
The SDSN was announced by the United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon in 2012 as a leading Non-Governmental Organization in engaging multi-stakeholders in the post-2015 global development process. The Network mobilizes leaders from academia, business, civil society and think-tank group to proffer innovative, sustainable solutions to emerging problems.
The Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN), Nigeria was launched in 2013 and hosted at the University of Ibadan’s Centre for Sustainable Development (CESDEV). The Nigerian Network is Africa’s pioneer SDSN and has come a long way, organizing series of capacity building programmes for higher institution of learning faculty members; high level meetings and conferences with different stakeholders including civil society organisations, religious leaders, media organisations, business and corporate bodies; policymakers and governments; annual sustainable development summit for global participation in high profiled discourse.
The network created five thematic research groups around the 17 Sustainable Development Goals and encompass 5Ps (People, Planet, Peace, Partnership and Prosperity).
